EXCELSO
1990 16hh grey IALHA Andalusian Stallion
by Catherino out of Windhill Amistosa (Lisonjerio II)

Excelso has been successfully competing at the Grand Prix level, at USEF/USDF open competition and International CDIs, for over 5 years. Has scored very well under Olympic judges, and consistently competes against warmbloods, winning his last three Grand Prix’s in 2006. Truly classical with superior movement and extension, tremendous balance, and exceptional disposition and soundness; after over a decade of breeding and performing, he has no blemishes. He is so quiet and reliable that children can ride him, and consistently passes these traits on to his offspring.

Excelso is featured in Paul's book
Dressage for the 21st Century.

“His disposition is so trustworthy. He has been the principle stud used to produce the most reliable horses for my small school.

He has proven himself as a superior sire with all breeds of mares. He has never produced a horse under 16 hands and consistently passes on his impeccable disposition. He will stand publicly for a few outside mares each year.”
